KENTUCKY TO RECEIVE 25-MILLION DOLLARS

KENTUCKY HAS BEEN AWARDED ALL MOST 25-MILLION DOLLARS TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL NEEDS OF KENTUCKY  CHILDREN AND

FAMILIES…..CONSISTING OF  AMERICORPS GRANTS AND FUNDING FROM OTHER SOURCES…..

 

THE FUNDS INCLUDE 13-POINT-EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS IN AMERICORPS FEDERAL GRANTS…. COMBINED WITH OVER SIX-MILLION DOLLARS IN PRIVATE AND

PUBLIC MATCHING FUNDS TO PROVIDE HELP WITH HOUSING, CLOTHING AND FOOD TO KENTUCKIANS IN NEED….PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR STUDENTS

IN ALL GRADE LEVELS THROUGH POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION…..AND TO HELP  HEALTH DEPARTMENTS, SENIOR CENTERS AND HOSPICE FACILITIES…….

 

THE AMERICORPS FEDERAL AGENCY WILL MAKE AVAILABLE  FOUR-POINT-NINE MILLION DOLLARS IN EDUCATION AWARDS FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS……AFTER

COMPLETING A FULL TERM OF SERVICE…..AMERICORPS MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR 73-HUNDRED-95 DOLLARS FOR COLLEGE, POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION  OR

TO PAY BACK STUDENT LOANS…..
