MCGARVEY SAID CONGRESS IS THE GOVERMENTAL  ENTITY THAT SPENDS MONEY…..THE CONSTITUTION GRANTS CONGRESS THE POWER OF THE PURSE…..AND

THIS IS MONEY THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PUT IN THE BANK ACCOUNTS BY CONGRESS AND HAS ALREADY BEEN SPENT….

 

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS SAID THE PAUSE IS NECESSARYTO ENSURE THAT ALL FUNDING COMPLIES WITH  THE PRESIDENT’S EXECUTIVE ORDERS……

THEY ALSO SAID THAT FEDERAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS WOULD NOT  BE AFFECTED….. INCLUDING SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, FOOD STAMPS, STUDENT

LOANS AND SCHOLARSHIPS……
