GENERAL FUND AND ROAD FUND UP FROM LAST YEAR

BOTH KENTUCKY’S GENERAL FUND AND ROAD FUND ACCOUNTS GOT OFF TO A GOOD START IN THE FISCAL YEAR THAT BEGAN JULY FIRST……WITH

SUBSTANTIAL INCREASES OVER A YEAR AGO….ACCORDING TO  KENTUCKY BUDGET DIRECTOR JOHN HICKS…..

 

GENERAL FUND  RECEIPTS FOR JULY WERE UP  12-POINT-TWO PERCENTCOMPARED TO JULY 20-23…..THE OFFICIAL REVENUE ESTIMATE FOR FISCAL YEAR-25

CALLS FOR RECEIPTS TO INCREASE  ONE-TENTH OF A PERCENT….THEREFORE….RECEIPTS CAN DECLINE NINE-TENTHS OF A PERCENT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE

FISCAL YEAR AND STILL MEET THE GENERAL FUND REVENUE ESTIMATE…..

 

ROAD FUND REVENUES FOR JULY WERE UP  14-POINT-SIX PERCENT COMPARED TO LAST YEAS…..THE OFFICIAL ROAD FUND ESTIMATE CALLS FOR REVENUE TO

DECLINE  TWO-POINT-NINE PERCENT COMPARED TO FISCAL YEAR-24…….SO ROAD FUND REVENUES CAN DECLINE FOUR-POINT-THREE PERCENT FOR THE REST OF

THE FISCAL YEAR AND STILL MEETTHE OFFICIAL ESTIMATE……
