FISCAL COURT VOTES NO TO HOTEL TAX

THERE WAS A GOOD CROWD ON HAND LAST NIGHT AS ALLEN FISCAL COURT TRAVELED TO CEDAR SPRINGS FIRE DEPARTMENT NUMBER TWO TO HOLD

THEIR MEETING….

SHERIFF BRANDON FORD REPORTED THAT APPROXIMATELY FIVE-POINT-FIVE MILLION DOLLARS IN PROPERTY TAXES HAVE BEEN COLLECTED……

THE COURT VOTED TO ACCEPT THE CHIP AND SEAL BID FROM  “GATTY SHAMROCK”…… BUT AGREED TO PUT OFF ANY  WORK UNTIL SPRING…….

THE SUBJECT OF THE “HOTEL TAX” FOR THE VISITORS BUREAU WAS TAKEN UP…… AND THE COURT VOTED NOT TO INPOSE THE “HOTEL TAX” AND TO BEGIN THE

PROCESS OF DISBANDING THE  VISITORS BUREAU………

AND RUSSELL MILLS WAS APPOINTED TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION BOARD REPLACING MICHAEL FRANCES…….
