IN 20-23…..THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS WHO DIED FROM OVERDOSES IN KENTUCKY FELL BY NEARLY 10-PERCENT…..MARKING THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

THE COMMONWEALTH HAS SEEN A DECLINE IN OVERDOSE DEATHS…..

 

ACCORDING TO THE 20-23 “KENTUCKY DRUG OVEROSE FATALITY REPORT”…..DRUG OVERDOSE DEATHS DECREASED  NINE-POINT-EIGHT PERENT LAST

YEAR…..WITH JUST UNDER TWO-THOUSAND KENTUCKIANS LOOSING THEIR LIVES TO A DRUG OVERDOSE IN 20-23……WITH FENTANYL ACCOUNTING FOR  79-

POINT-ONE PERCENT OF OVERDOSE DEATHS…..AND METHAMPHETAMINE ACCOUNTING  FOR 55-POINT-TWO PERCENT OF OVERDOSE DEATHS……

 

IN 20-22……KENTUCKY’S DRUG OVERDOSE DEATHS DECLINED BY FIVE PERCENT  COMPARED WITH  20-21…..MARKING THE FIRST DECLINE SINCE  20-18…..AS THE

COMMONWEALTH WAS ONE OF ONLY EIGHT STATES TO SEE  DECREASE IN OVERDOSE DEATHS…..WHILE THE NATION SAW A SLIGHT INCREASE…….
